     Repairers Lien Act, Society Act.  O/C 1220/93 is amended by
     repealing section 3.  O/C 1225/93 is amended by striking out

     The Minister of Housing, Recreation and Consumer Services is
     charged with the administration of the Debtor Assistance Act, the
     Multilevel Marketing Regulation Act, and the Recreational
     Facility Act.  The schedule to O/C 1218/93 is amended by striking
     out "Ministry of Industry and Small Business Development Act in
     relation to small business" and substituting "Ministry of
     Industry and Small Business Development Act in relation to small
     business and tourism."

     Section 17(7)(a) of B.C. Reg. 608/76 - Liquor Control and and
     Licensing Licensing Regulations is repealed and the following
     substituted:
          (a) the sale of liquor shall be restricted to beer, wine,
          cider or coolers but nothing in this paragraph permits the
          sale of any liquor that has not been expressly approved for
          sale by an agreement between the Province and the holders of
          "G" licences.

     Effective October 4, 1993, the Freedom of Information and
     Protection of Privacy Act Regulation is made, as described.

ORDER IN COUNCIL 1282
Statutory Authority: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY
     Effective October 4, 1993: Freedom of Information and Protection
     of Privacy Act (FIPP), except section 78(2) is brought into
     force.  The following provisions of the FIPP Amendment Act, 1993
     are brought into force: sections 1(a), 2, 3, 5 to 20, 22(a) to
     (c), 23 and 24, that part of section 26 that enacts section 79.1
     of the FIPP Act, section 27, section 28(b) except paragraph (c)
     of the definition of "head", section 28(d) and (e) and that part
     of section 28(f) that enacts the definition of "prosecution",
     section 28(g) except paragraph (c) of the definition of "public
     body", sections 29, 31 and 33.  Schedule 2 of the Act is amended
     as described.

     M. Anne White, Victoria and Catherine Overton, Delta appointed to
     the British Columbia Council of Licensed Practical Nurses for
     terms of 3 years.

     Local Elections 1993 Regulation approved which ensures that
     orders under section 46(1) of the School Act, prior to the Local
     Elections Reform Act are deemed to be orders under section 46(2)
     of the amended School Act, and have the same effect.
