  a)  effective on the date this order is deposited with the Registrar of Regulations, section 1 to 6, 8 and 9 of the Appendix amend B.C. Reg. 447/83, the Revised Regulation (1984) under the Insurance (Motor Vehicle) Act in respect of a certificate, policy or endorsement,
(i) that is not a renewal, and,
(ii) that takes effect on or after the date this order is deposited , with the Registrar of Regulations,
b) effective January 1, 2002, sections 1 to 6, 8 and 9 of the Appendix amend B.C. Reg. 447/83 - the Revised Regulation (1984) under the Insurance (Motor Vehicle) Act, for all other purposes, and,

B.C. Reg. 291/96 - the Adoption Regulation is amended,
a)  by repealing section 3(6) and substituting the following: (6) An update of the criminal record check and prior contact check must be provided to the director or the administrator by the prospective adoptive parents immediately prior to the placement of a child with those parents for the purposes of adoption,
b) by renumbering section 17 as section 17(1) and adding the following subsection: (2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a prospective adoptive parent if the child is placed with that prospective adoptive parent by a director under the Child, Family and Community Service Act.

Effective November 15, 2001: section 15 of B.C. Reg. 396/95 - the Employment Standards Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection: (2) Despite subsection (1), the minimum wage is $6.00 an hour for an employee who (a) has no paid employment experience before November 15, 2001 and (b) has 500 or fewer hours of cumulative paid employment experience with one or more employers.
