Effective March 12, 2004, sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 15, 16, 19, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 34, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40 of the ACT are brought into force.

Statutory Authority: Natural Products Marketing (BC)
Effective April 1, 2004: the British Columbia Chicken Marketing Scheme, B.C. Reg. 188/61, is amended
(a) by repealing section 3.02 and substituting the following:
3.02 The board consists of
   (a)  3 members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, one of whom is appointed chair by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, and
(b)  2 members who are registered growers, elected by the registered growers, and
(b) by adding the following section:
Rules for election of board members 3.02.2
(1)  The board must establish and publish rules and procedures for the election of elected board members.
(2)  The British Columbia Farm Industry Review Board must approve the rules and procedures referred to in subsection (1) before those rules take effect.

The remuneration for members of the Judicial Justices Compensation Commission for 2004 established under section 4(4) of the ACT shall be:
   (a)  the chair shall receive $350 for each day spent in the discharge of the business of the Commission.
(b)  each member other than the chair shall receive $250 for each day in the discharge of business of the Commission.

Statutory Authority: Judicial Compensation
The remuneration for members of the Judges Compensation Commission for 2004 established under section 4(4) of the ACT shall be:
   (a)  the chair shall receive $20 000, and
(b)  each member other than the chair shall , receive $15 000.
 
ORDER IN COUNCIL 231

Statutory Authority: Notaries
(a) a Commission under the Great Seal be issued appointing the following permanent employees of the Government of the Province Notaries Public under section 15 of the Notaries Act, for so long as they continue to be employed with the Ministry of Children and Family Development:
   (i)  Carol Louise Alexander
(ii)   Nancy Marie Bens
(b) these appointments and Commissions confer upon these individuals the power only to administer oaths, to take affidavits, declarations and acknowledgements, to attest by their seals and to give notarial certificates of their acts in connection to a Director of Adoption's confirmation that the Adoption Act's requirements for inter-country adoptions have been met;
(c) Order in Council 622/99 is amended
(i)  in paragraph (a) by striking out "in her present position, Adoption Team, Ministry for Children and Families" and substituting "with the Ministry of Children and Family Development"; and
(ii)  in paragraph (b) by striking out "with the performance of her duties in the above noted position" and substituting "to a Director of Adoption's confirmation that the Adoption Act's requirements for inter-country adoptions have been met";
(d) the appointment of Dianne Marie Miller as a Notary Public made by Order in Council 372/94 be rescinded and her Commission cancelled.

1)  The chair of the Mediation and Arbitration Board shall receive remuneration of $525 for each day spent on the work of the Board.
2)  Members of the Mediation and Arbitration Board shall receive remuneration of $350 for each day spent on the work of the Board.
3)  All previous Orders in Council setting remuneration provisions for this Board are rescinded.
4)  The quorum of the Mediation and Arbitration Board is two of the members of the Board.

B.C. Reg. 326/96 - the Railway Right of Way Valuation Criteria Regulation, is amended as follows:
Section 1 (a) is amended by striking out "as authenticated by courts of revision on the assessment rolls" and substituting "as contained in the revised assessment rolls".
Section 2 (a) h amended by striking out "as authenticated by courts of revision on the assessment rolls" and substituting "as contained in the revised assessment rolls". 
Section 3 (a) is amended by striking out "as authenticated by courts of revision on the assessment rolls" and substituting "as contained in the revised assessment rolls".

   1.  Sections 26 and 27, 52, 55 and 56, 58 to 60 and 84 of the Sustainable Resource Management Statutes Amendment Act, 2003, c. 66, S.B.C. 2003, are brought into force by this regulation.
2.  Sections 51 and 83 of the Sustainable Resource Management Statutes Amendment Act, 2003 are repealed.

(a) The Arterial Highway classifications of Lytton-Lillooet Highway Reference No. 635R, made by Order in Council 2547, ordered and approved September 28, 1978, Nugget Road Reference No. 662R, made by Order in Council 833, ordered and approved April 9, 1980, and Lillooet-Pioneer Road 40, Main Street and Seton Lake Road 133 Arterial Reference No. 760R, made by Order in Council 2158, ordered and approved November 25, 1982 are rescinded.
(b) Reference No. 1013 R, Highway 99, Reference No. 1014 R, Lytton-Lillooet Highway and Reference No. 1015 R, Lillooet-Pioneer Road 40, are classified as Arterial Highways.
