Exclusion from payment options for farm labour contractors
40.2  (1)  In respect of the payment of wages to farm workers, farm labour contractors are excluded from section 20 of the Act.
(2)  A farm labour contractor must pay all wages to farm workers employed by the farm labour contractor
(a)  in Canadian dollars, and
(b) by deposit to the credit of the farm worker's account in a savings institution.

(a) in section 1 (1) in paragraph (a) of the definition of "special resolution" by striking out "3/4" and substituting "1/2",
(b)  in section 3.1 by adding the following paragraphs:
(d)  the share transfer occurs as the result of a company share exchange right, share reorganization, acquisition or amalgamation and
(i)  the eligible business corporation remains registered under section 28.2 of the Act, and
(ii)  the registered owner of the share is the same,

after the share transfer takes place;

(e) 

the share transfer occurs as the result of the exercise of a warrant, option or right entitling the holder to purchase or acquire an equity share of an eligible business corporation as defined paragraph (a) of the definition of "equity share" in section 1 of the Act and the registered owner of the equity share so purchased or acquired is the same as the registered holder of the warrant, option or right, and

(c)  by repealing section 5 (2).

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that pursuant to Section 5 (d) of the Emergency Program Act that for the purposes of public safety, the owners of the said infected site, in cooperation with the City of Surrey, develop plans, measures and programs as may be necessary to expedite the disinfection and cleaning of the said infected site including through the incineration of the structures and waste at the infected site;

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that pursuant to Section 7 of the Emergency Program Act that the said plans, measures and programs be implemented forthwith;

AND IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that there shall be no compensation for loss made pursuant to section 19(2) of the Emergency Program Act, to any person, including the owners of the infected site.

This ministerial order will remain in effect for a period of 7 days or until such time as the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Ministry of Agriculture Forests and Fisheries are satisfied that the disinfection and cleaning of the infected site has been completed.
