COURT FUNDS REGULATION
Definition
1 In this regulation:
"Act" means the Unclaimed Property Act;
"judicial officer" means, (a) in the case of funds in the Court of Appeal, a justice or registrar, (b) in the case of funds in the Supreme Court, a judge, master or registrar, and (c) in the case of funds in the Provincial Court, a judge or registrar.
Court funds
2 For the purposes of the Act, "unclaimed court funds" means funds, other than judicial interim release funds, that have been paid into court in a proceeding and that
(a) have remained in court for at least 5 years, and
(b) have been determined by a judicial officer for that court to be unclaimed court funds.
