ORDER IN COUNCIL 225

Effective April 30, 2007,

(a)  the appointment of David Byng as an Assistant Deputy Minister, Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, OIC 684/2005, is rescinded, and

(a)  David Byng is appointed as an Assistant Deputy Minister, Ministry of Transportation.

For the 2007 taxation year, the amount in column 2 of the Schedule is the amount apportioned, for the purposes of section 66.3 (3) (a) of the Police Act, to the contributing area either

(a)  outside a regional district and referred to, or

(b)  identified by regional district and by municipality or electoral area

in column 1 next to that amount, and the rate, for the purposes of sections 66.3 (3) (b) and 66.31 (2) of that Act, is the rate, set out by property class in column 3, next to the contributing areas apportioned amount set out in column 2.

Statutory Authority: School, s. 119 (3)

For the calendar year 2007, the rate determined under section 119 (3) of the School Act for property Class 1, as defined in the Prescribed Classes of Property Regulation, B.C. Reg. 438/81, is, for each school district or part of a school district listed in Column 1 of the Schedule to this Order, the rate listed in Column 2 of the Schedule to this Order next to that school district.

For the purpose of section 119 (3) of the School Act, the rate for each property class to be applied for the calendar year 2007 to the net taxable value in all school districts is the rate set out in the following table, with the rate expressed in dollars per thousand dollars of net taxable value:

Effective May 1, 2007, Monika Marshall is appointed as a member and vice-chair of the Provincial Agricultural Land Commission for a term expiring March 1, 2009.

Matthew Moore is appointed to the Native Economic Development Advisory Board, for a term ending two years upon pronouncement.

Statutory Authority: Ministry of Lands, Parks and Housing, s. 9 (1) (a)

Crown lands described in Schedule A are transferred in fee simple to the Canadian National Railway Company with the encumbrances listed in Schedule B.
