(a)  The following are appointed as Justices of the Peace in and for the Province of British Columbia: Bradley David Beer, Edward E. Bowes, Anna-Maya Sophia Brown, Brian R. Burgess, Debra Anne Padron Garcia, Hunter W. Gordon, Tim Holmes.

(b)  effective of the day after in which paragraph (a) comes into effect, and on the recommendation of the Judicial Council of the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Justices of the Peace appointed in (a) are designated as judicial justices.

The schedule to OIC 589/2006 is amended by adding the following appointment: Minister of Environment and Minister responsible for Water Stewardship and Sustainable Communities, Spencer Sproule, Ministerial Assistant. The appointment of Spencer Sproule made by OIC 2/2007 is rescinded.

Frank Costa is appointed as Ministerial Assistant in the office of the Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources to work for the Minister of State for Mining. The appointment of Frank Costa made by OIC 701/2006 is rescinded.

Remuneration for the chair of the British Columbia Farm Industry Review Board be set at the maximum per diem rate of $625 in accordance with Treasury Board Directive 2/07.

Statutory Authority: Environmental Management, ss 22 and 139

Effective September 1, 2007:

(a)  the Code of Practice for Soil Amendments, except section 9(6), and section 9(7) insofar as it relates to section 9(6) is made

(b)  the Table in Schedule 2 of B.C. Reg. 320/2004 - the Waste Discharge Regulation is amended by adding "Code of Practice for Soil Amendments" to Column 2 of item 23 opposite "Soil Enhancement Using Wastes" in Column 1.

(a)  Effective June 30, 2007:

(i)  the Code of Practice for the Slaughter and Poultry, Processing Industries, except for section 2 of the code is enacted.

(ii)  the table in Schedule 2 of B.C. Reg. 320/2004 - the Waste Discharge Regulation is amended in column 2 by adding "Code of Practice for the Slaughter and Poultry Processing Industries" opposite both "Poultry Processing Industry" and "Slaughter Industry" in column 1

(b)  effective September 30, 2007, section 2 of the Code of Practice for the Slaughter and Poultry Processing Industries is enacted.
