Statutory Authority: Securities Amendment, 2006, s. 71

Effective February 1, 2008, the following provisions of the Securities Amendment Act, 2006, S.B.C. 2006, c. 32, are brought into force:

(a)  sections 27 to 31,

(b)  section 40,

(c)  section 41 (b),

(d)  section 47(e),

(e)  section 66 (a) to the extent that it adds "98, "and "99, ", and

(f)  section 70.

Statutory Authority: Passenger Transportation, s. 59 (2) (1); Offence, s. 132 (2) (a.1)

1.  B.C. Reg. 266/2004, the Passenger Transportation Regulation, is amended in section 12 (1) and by adding section "12.1" "Restrictions on refusal of passengers by taxi drivers".

2.  B. C. Reg. 89/97, the Violation Ticket Administration and Fines Regulation, is amended in Schedule 2.

Statutory Authority: Hydro and Power Authority, s. 35

Section 1 of the Heritage Special Directive No. HC1 to the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority, OIC 1125/2003, is amended by repealing and replacing the definition of "equity".

Ministry Responsible: ENERGY, MINES AND PETROLEUM RESOURCES

Statutory Authority: BC Hydro Public Legacy and Heritage Contract, s. 4

B.C. Reg. 158/2005, the Heritage Special Direction No. HC2 to the British Columbia Utilities Commission, is amended in section 1 by repealing and replacing the definition of "equity" and by adding the definition of "deemed equity", and by amending sections 4 and 6.

Effective February 4, 2008, B.C. Reg. 441/2003, the Manufactured Home Regulation, is amended in section 1 (1), and by repealing and replacing section 8:

Effective January 31, 2008, B.C. Reg. 173/2002, the Prescribed Programs Regulation, is amended by repealing and replacing section 2: Designated administrators.

Gerald B. Kilcup is appointed as a member of the Delta Police Board for a term ending July 31, 2009.

Approval is given for the appointment of KPMG, Victoria, British Columbia for the purpose of auditing and reporting on the account of British Columbia Transit for the fiscal years ending March 31, 2008 and March 31, 2009.
