Effective April 16, 2008, B.C. Reg. 166/2007, the Controlled Recreation Area (Resort Timber Administration Act) Regulation, is amended.

Approval is given to the British Columbia Utilities Commission to exempt Imperial Oil Resources, as operator of the Boundary Lake Distribution Facilities, from the provisions of the Utilities Commission Act for the purpose and subject to the terms in the draft order of the British Columbia Utilities Commission.

Statutory Authority: Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment, 2007, s. 69; Coal, s. 26 (2) (d.1); Mineral Tenure, s. 65 (2) (p), (r), (s) and (u.1)

Effective June 2, 2008,

(a)  sections 7, 8, 46 and 52 of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act, 2007, S.B.C. 2007, c. 8, are brought into force,

(b)  B. C. Reg. 251/2004, the Coal Act Regulation, is amended by adding section 2.1 "Notice requirements before entering private land", and

(c)  B.C. Reg. 529/2004, the Mineral Tenure Act Regulation, is amended.

The designation made by OIC 718/2007 is rescinded and the following are reappointed as members to the Financial Institutions Commission:

(a)  William Hopkins (Chair), for a term effective May 27, 2008 to July 31, 2011;

(c)  Janet K. Pau, for a term effective April 20, 2008 to July 31, 2009.

Effective September 5, 2008,

(a)  B.C. Reg. 198/2005, the Water Conservation Plumbing Regulation, is repealed,

(b)  B.C. Reg. 216/2006, the British Columbia Building Code Regulation, is amended as per Schedule, and

(c)  The amendment in paragraph (b) does not apply to a building permit described in Part 21 of the Local Government Act or Part 3 of the Community Charter that is applied for before the effective date of this regulation.

Ministry Responsible: TRANSPORTATION

Statutory Authority: Transportation, s. 90

Effective June 1, 2008, B.C. Reg. 513/2004, the Provincial Public Undertakings Regulation, is amended by striking out Okanagan Lake Bridge wherever it appears and replacing it with William R. Bennett Bridge.
