ORDER IN COUNCIL 32

Ministry Responsible: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Statutory Authority: Hospital District, ss. 20 (3) and 51; Local Government, s. 799; Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment (No. 2), 2008, s. 146; Municipalities Enabling and Validating, s. 30

Effective February 6, 2009:

1.  Sections 88 to 91 and 92 (a) and (c) of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act (No. 2), 2008, S.B.C. 2008, c. 42, are brought into force.

2.  The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality Interim Regulation is made.

3.  B.C. Reg. 14/94, the Fort Nelson-Liard Regional District Regulation, is repealed.

4.  The Schedule to B.C. Reg. 406/82, the Hospital District Act Regulation, is amended in Column 1 by striking out "Fort Nelson-Liard" and substituting "Northern Rockies".

Statutory Authority: Local Government, ss. 7, 12.1, 12.3 to 12.5, 13, 14, 14.2 to 14.4; Municipalities Enabling and Validating (No. 3), s. 26

a)  Letters patent are issued incorporating the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality.

b)  Effective February 6, 2009, the letters patent issued on October 22, 1987 reincorporating the Town of Fort Nelson are revoked.

c)  Effective February 6, 2009, the letters patent issued on October 22, 1987 incorporating the Northern Rockies Regional District are revoked.

1.  Effective February 6, 2009, OIC 1222/67 is amended by adding the following section:

21A. That portion lying within the Northern Rockies Regional District as it existed immediately before it was dissolved.

2.  Letters patent are issued amending the letters patent of the Northern Rockies Regional Hospital District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL 36

Statutory Authority: Local Government, s. 735 and 735.1

1.  Letters Patent issued June 13, 1972 incorporating Granthams Landing Improvement District are revoked and the Granthams Landing Improvement District is dissolved.

2.  The rights, property and assets are transferred to and vested in the Sunshine Coast Regional District;

3.  The obligations are assumed by the Sunshine Coast Regional District;

4.  The bylaws continue in force as bylaws of the Sunshine Coast Regional District.

B.C. Reg. 98/2008, the Net Profit Royalty Regulation, is amended by repealing and replacing section 4: Application for net profit royalty.

Effective February 1, 2009, B.C. Reg. 125/2008, the Carbon Tax Regulation, is amended in sections 17 and 26.

Statutory Authority: Liquor Control and Licensing, ss. 12.01 and 84; Public Safety and Solicitor General (Gift Card Certainty) Statutes Amendment, 2008, ss. 16 and 24

a)  Sections 16 and 17 of the Public Safety and Solicitor General (Gift Card Certainty) Statutes Amendment Act, 2008, S.B.C. 2008, c. 15, are brought into force.

b)  B.C. Reg. 244/2002, the Liquor Control and Licensing Regulation, is amended by adding Division 1.1 - Olympic/Paralympic Licences.

Effective March 31, 2009,

a)  B.C. Reg. 294/2004, the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Regulation, is amended as set out in Schedule 1, and

b)  The Home Inspector Licensing Regulation is made as set out in Schedule 2.
